US Brought Bankruptcy to Pakistan: Imran Khan

  

Country experienced no suicide attack until 2004 when Pakistani Army joined American war on terrorism: Imran Khan.

July 05, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - A prominent Pakistani political figure Imran Khan attending a ceremony at the shrine Datta Darbar on Sunday, said ‘America’s war has brought Pakistan at the edge of bankruptcy.’

Imran Khan who is the leader of Tehrik-e-Insaf (Justice Party) told reporters that his country experienced no suicide attack until 2004 when Pakistani Army joined American war on terrorism.

‘The government does not take a single action with the U.S. dictation,’ said Khan visiting Datta Darbar Shrine where more than 200 people killed and injured in a suicide blast on July 1. Khan described Pakistan joining the US-led war on terrorism a work of insider traitors who initiated sectarianism that fomented the current hatred.

Nuclear-armed Pakistan joined US war on terror across its northern border with Afghanistan. The country has a large population of Pashtuns like in Afghanistan where Taliban fighters continue to resist western invasion of their homeland.

Pakistan government initially received $1 billion in US assistance for its participation. The sum has increased to nearly $5 billion since 2004. According to Imran Khan suicide bombings upon innocent civilian would continue until Washington stopped its interference in Pakistani internal affairs.
